Kathmandu, August 27
A high-level team has been deployed to assess the damage at the Upper Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project, which was severely damaged by the devastating Bhotekoshi River floods.
A team led by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Executive Director Dirghayu Kumar Shrestha was deployed to the field early Thursday to coordinate rescue efforts and expedite the restoration of electricity services.
According to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, the high-level team deployed to the affected area is led by Shrestha and includes Deputy Executive Director Kirankumar Shrestha, Rajan Dhakal, head and spokesperson of the Distribution and Customer Service Directorate, and Chirantan Bikram Rana, chief executive officer of NEA Engineering Company.
Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha has directed the team to take all necessary measures to expedite rescue operations and restore electricity services as soon as possible.
