Kathmandu, August 26
Bodies believed to be of people swept away by the Rasuwa floods have been recovered at several locations along the Trishuli River in Gorkha, police said.
According to the District Police Office, at least seven bodies have been recovered from different locations in Gorkha district.
Three male bodies were found together along the Trishuli riverbank at Silingtar in Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3, Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Shrestha said.
Another male body was recovered from the Trishuli River at Dhawadighat in Gandaki Rural Municipality-8, police said.
A further body was found caught in a tree along the riverbank at Bhumlichok in Gandaki-6.
Police also reported finding a human leg at Buttar in Gandaki-1.
A male body was recovered at Phewatar in Gandaki-4, while another male body was found at Jyamireghat in Gandaki-7, according to police.
Authorities are continuing to recover bodies and search for people reported missing after Wednesday morning’s flash flood in Rasuwa’s Bhote Koshi River.
