Nepali customers planning to book a compact electric SUV may want to wait a little longer, with the Deepal Nevo Q05 set to make its Nepal debut at NADA Auto Show 2026.
The Q05 is arriving with a combination of cabin space, fast-charging capability, smart technology, international design credentials and a strong sales record in overseas markets.
Here are five reasons the Deepal Nevo Q05 could be worth the wait.
1. A surprisingly spacious cabin
The first reason to wait for the Deepal Nevo Q05 is its spacious interior.
The electric SUV has a 2,735 mm wheelbase, an important measurement when it comes to passenger space, particularly for those sitting in the rear.
Despite having an overall length of 4,435 mm, making it relatively easy to manoeuvre in urban environments, the Q05’s proportions allow a significant amount of its footprint to be used for passenger space.
It also claims a 540-litre standard boot capacity, offering additional room for family luggage, shopping and children’s belongings.
2. Fast charging
The second major attraction is its charging capability.
The Q05 is equipped with a 51.9 kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, Changan’s battery-system technology and 3C fast-charging capability.
Its peak DC charging capacity is rated at up to 162 kW.
According to Changan, under suitable conditions, the battery can be charged from 30 to 80 percent in around 15 minutes.
Actual charging times, however, can vary depending on the charger’s capacity, battery temperature and operating conditions.
3. Smart digital technology
The Deepal Nevo Q05 also brings a technology-focused cabin.
It features a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, a separate driver display and surround-view technology.
The system is designed to bring vehicle controls, supported connectivity features, camera views and entertainment functions together through an integrated interface.
The final list of features available in Nepal will be confirmed when the local variant is officially unveiled.
4. International design credentials
Design is another major selling point.
The Q05 was developed through Changan’s international design network, involving 915 designers from 31 countries and regions.
The team was led by Changan Global Design Vice President Klaus Zyciora, the former head of design at Volkswagen Group.
The Deepal Nevo Q05 features Changan’s ‘Inspired by Light’ design language, aerodynamic surfaces and a distinctive light signature.
The model has also received a Golden A’ Design Award.
5. A strong international sales record
Perhaps the most reassuring reason to consider waiting is the Q05’s sales performance.
Changan announced that cumulative sales of the Deepal Nevo Q05 had crossed 100,000 units as of August 11, 2026.
According to Gasgoo, the model recorded 18,871 deliveries in July, maintaining the top position in China’s compact SUV sales for four consecutive months.
The Q05 has also generated strong interest outside China. In Thailand, the model reportedly received more than 3,000 orders in less than two weeks of its launch.
These five measurable factors provide a strong case for Nepali buyers to wait before booking a compact electric SUV, particularly with the Q05 set to be unveiled at NADA Auto Show 2026.
