Nepal’s longest-running youth adventure reality show, Himalaya Roadies, is returning with its eighth season on Himalaya TV, with the theme ‘Attitude vs Altitude.’
The new season will once again bring together adventure, competition, physical challenges and the search for young talent, while placing greater emphasis on contestants’ attitude, personality and ability to perform under pressure. Himalaya Roadies has established itself as one of Nepal’s most popular youth-oriented reality shows and is also the country’s longest-running reality show.
With Season 8, the makers are preparing to introduce new challenges and a fresh set of contestants. Yamaha has joined the eighth season as the title sponsor, while Mountain Dew is the ‘ In Association With ’ sponsor. There will also be some changes among the gang leaders this season. While some familiar faces will return, new faces are also expected to join the show. Host Remon Das Shrestha will continue to lead the show, while Anup and Laure will also return as gang leaders. The remaining gang leaders will be announced in the coming days.
The talent hunt for Season 8 will begin with a city tour. The show will conduct physical auditions across five major cities in Nepal, with the auditions scheduled to begin within the next two weeks. The new theme, ‘Attitude vs Altitude’, is expected to reflect the show’s focus on both physical endurance and mental strength. Contestants will be tested not only on their ability to overcome physical challenges but also on their attitude, determination and ability to perform under pressure.
“This season will be even more thrilling as the Gen Z young talent will have to prove themselves in the high-altitude terrain of Nepal’s mountainous region,” said Shyam Kadel, Executive Director of Himalaya TV.
Himalaya Television is producing and broadcasting the eighth season of Himalaya Roadies. The broadcaster has built a strong portfolio of international-format reality shows in Nepal, including The Voice of Nepal, Shark Tank Nepal, Nepal’s Next Top Model and MasterChef Nepal.
With the Season 8 auditions set to begin soon, the latest edition of Himalaya Roadies is preparing to embark on another nationwide search for young people ready to put their attitude to the test at altitude.
