Kathmandu, August 3
Three people, including the driver, have gone missing after a car plunged into the Sunkoshi River following a collision on the Mid-Hill Highway in Sindhuli district.
The missing are the unidentified driver, Ganesh Thapa of Golanjor Rural Municipality-1 in Sindhuli, who was travelling in the car, and an unidentified helper.
According to police, the accident occurred at Nawalpur in Fikkal Rural Municipality-2 when a bus (registration number Ba. Pra. 08-001 Kha 0144), driven by Hem Bahadur Tamang, was travelling from Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga and collided with the car, which was heading from Khotang towards Khurkot.
The impact of the collision sent the car plunging into the Sunkoshi River. The registration number of the car has not yet been identified.
