Kathmandu, June 9
The Film Critics Society of Nepal (FICSON) on Tuesday announced the results of the Critics Film Awards for the Nepali calendar year 2082 B.S., with the independent feature Unko Sweater dominating the major categories.
According to a press release issued by FICSON, the winners were selected following a thorough review, technical analysis, and objective evaluation of movies released throughout 2082 B.S. by members of the society.
Unko Sweater secured four major awards, including Best Film. Nabin Chauhan won Best Director for the film, while the duo of Nabin Chauhan and Suraj Katuwal grabbed the Best Screenplay award. The movie also took home the Best Background Score award, credited to Kobid Bazra.
In the acting categories, industry veteran Hari Bansha Acharya was named Best Actor for his performance in Bhuthan. Anna Sharma won the Best Actress award for her role in Rammita Koo Pirati.
Bhuthan also found significant success in the technical categories, winning Best Cinematography (Sushan Prajapati) and Best Editing (Anjay Khadka).

The society stated that it is preparing to present the trophies for both 2081 B.S. and 2082 B.S. at a joint grand ceremony.
The results for 2082 B.S. were made public ahead of the event in the interest of transparency and professional integrity, the statement added.
The date and venue of the official award ceremony will be announced through a separate notice in the near future.
