Two injured in elephant attack incident

Wild elephants in eastern Nepal have been wreaking havoc giving rise to human-wildlife conflict.

Jhapa, April 30:

A woman and her 13-year-old daughter were injured after an elephant attacked them near Bahundangi Chowk in Mechinagar Municipality-4, Jhapa.

According to DSP of Jhapa, Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, Sunita Bajracharya, 38, and her daughter Yabadra were injured in the incident. Both of them have sustained serious leg injuries, it is said.
