Leopard enters house in Tarakeshwar, 2 injured

Kathmandu, February 22

A leopard entered a house in Tarakeshwar Municipality–9 in Kathmandu, injuring two people.

According to SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai of the Kathmandu District Police Range, the incident occurred shortly before the report was filed. Two individuals were injured in the leopard attack after the animal entered a local residence.

The injured have been identified as Dulal Maharjan and Mayanath Wagle, SP Bhattarai said. The leopard entered the house of resident Anojmani Adhikari.

Maharjan has been taken to Shubham Hospital for treatment, while Wagle has been admitted to the Army Hospital. Maharjan sustained minor injuries to his head and left hand, while Wagle suffered injuries to his left hand.

Police have confined the leopard inside the house. “We have called the forest team. The leopard has been locked inside,” SP Bhattarai said.
