Kathmandu, February 3
The 12th Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) world conference and grand general convention is set to be held from coming March 14 in Kathmandu. According to the information shared at a press conference organised here on Monday, the conference is scheduled to take place from coming March 14 to 16.
A high-level organising committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Minister for Foreign Affairs to organise the conference. It was informed that the committee’s secretariat has already initiated preparatory works relating to the conference.
The slogan for this year’s conference is ‘Our Unity, the Foundation for Prosperity’. The Non-resident Nepali movement, initiated in 2003 with the slogan ‘Nepalis for Nepalis’, has been advancing to unite Nepalis across the world under one umbrella.
The press statement mentioned that the organisational complexities that emerged within the Association were addressed step by step through self-reflection, dialogue and cooperation in the NRNA’s 10th and 11th general conventions.
Subsequently, a historic and comprehensive unity within the NRNA was forged in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 30, 2025, noted the press statement. This unity has further strengthened the collective commitment towards unity, stability and the future journey of the Association.
