Protests continued in Simara, Bara, today as well.
Following Wednesday’s day-long tension caused by a dispute between UML leaders–workers and Gen Z Youth, demonstrations resumed for a second day on Thursday.
As tensions escalated, the Bara District Administration Office had issued a curfew order on Wednesday. The situation had calmed later in the evening.
From 10 am today, GenZ Youth have been demonstrating at Simara Chowk by burning tyres. They are demanding the arrest of UML leaders and workers accused of assaulting their members.
