Shangri-la Literature Festival announced to organise a monthly dialogue series, Shangri-la Sambad, from July. It is set to start its inaugural dialogue event on July 26 at Moksh Bar and Restaurant, Jhamsikhel, 2 PM onwards. The first dialogue will be dedicated to poetry as per the director of the festival, Ken Subedi.
The dialogue event will have an interaction session between poet and folklore expert Tulasi Diwasa and award-winning poet Ramesh Kshitiz. The session will cover the life and dedication of Diwasa and the role of poetry in the development of culture.
Following the interaction session, poems will be recited by senior as well as contemporary poets. Poets Shailendra Sakar, Avinash Shrestha, Shrawan Mukarung, Shakuntala Joshi, Geeta Tripathi, Tanka Upreti, Jyoti Jungle, Bina Thing Tamang, Sabita Gautam Dahal, Deepak Sapkota, Avaya Shrestha, and Bimala Tumkhewa are set to recite their best poems.
The dialogue program will be inaugurated by Tulasi Diwasa. According to the organiser, the dialogue event will be organised on a monthly basis to create a platform for discussion, interaction, book launch, readings and foster the reading and writing culture.
