Former State Minister and Nepali Congress leader Ganesh Bahadur Khadka has passed away at the age of 82. He died at 6 AM this morning at his residence in Narayan Municipality-7 of Dailekh district.

Khadka, a former president of the Nepali Congress Dailekh chapter, had been suffering from prostate-related complications for several years. Born on August 3, 1942 (Shrawan 19, 1999 BS), he served as the district president of Nepali Congress Dailekh during three separate terms: from 1977 to 1980, from 1982 to 1991, and from 2000 to 2010.

He was elected as a Member of the House of Representatives from Dailekh Constituency-1 in the 1991 and 1994 general elections and as a Member of the Constituent Assembly in the 2008 elections.
