The weather will be generally cloudy to completely cloudy in the country today. Due to the influence of Monsoon winds active across the country, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places of all the provinces.
Furthermore, heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Likewise, there is a possibility of very heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi, Madhes, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
Tonight, the weather will continue to remain cloudy over the country, with a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Madhes, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini regions. There is the possibility of a storm in some places of Tarai.
The Department has predicted the possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in all the provinces in the next 24 hours. Pointing out the possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in all provinces and very heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces, the Department warned of the risk of floods, landslides, inundation in urban and Tarai areas, and hence has requested all concerned to remain vigilant.
