Jhapa, January 13
A 72-year-old woman has died after being hit by a school bus in Gauradaha municipality-11 of the Jhapa district in Province 1.
The bus (Me 1 Kha 2676) belonging to the Mount Everest Boarding School hit Tulasa Dahal, a resident of the same area, hit at around 3 pm on Thursday, according to police. The old woman was on her foot.
Seriously injured in the accident, she was taken to the B & C Hospital in Birtamod, where she died during treatment at around 9 pm yesterday, informs the District Police Office.
Police have arrested the bus driver for further investigation and action.
