Airlines increase airfare following the NOC price hike

Kathmandu, June 20

Airline companies in Nepal have announced an increase in airfare following the government’s decision to hike the price of aviation fuel.

Nepal Oil Corporation, on Sunday, increased the price of aviation fuel by Rs 19 per litre. Following the price hike, a flight from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi will now cost up to Rs 16,805. This is an Rs 840 increase in the airfare.

The least affected by the price hike is the Kathmandu-Simara flight, which will cost passengers up to Rs 4,195. Airlines have increased Rs 170 on this route.
