KU relaunches online classes citing Covid-19 fears

Kathmandu, April 8

The Kathmandu University has decided to halt some of its physical classes and continue teaching-learning activities online after the country’s health authorities reported an increase in coronavirus infection of late.

The university says classes under the School of Engineering and the School of Science will be held online from Thursday. This provision will continue until mid-May, according to a statement issued by Manish Pokharel and Kanhaiya Jha, deans of the schools respectively.

Other schools of the university, however, are still continuing physical classes. Likewise, administrative units of the institution will continue operating as normal, the statement informs.

The university says science and engineering students need to contact their department heads for research and project works.
