Kathmandu, February 25
A man died after a jeep plunged into the Karnali River in the Naraharinath rural municipality-1 of Kalikot, along the Karnali Highway on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Chakra Bahadur Khadka (19) of Gurans rural municipality in Dailekh. Khadka was the driver of the jeep (Lu 1 Ja 4141), informed the Kalikot District Police Office chief Shyam Babu Oliya.
The jeep had gone to Raskot from Jitegada to drop off a passenger. It crashed while the vehicle was reverting at a turn.
Only Khadka was in the jeep during the accident, Oliya adds.
Police say they are trying to get the jeep out of the river.
