Anand Vijay Gurung’s poetry collection Dandelion Snow unveiled

Kathmandu, September 6

Writer and poet Anand Vijay Gurung’s new book Dandelion Snow & Verses from Other Cities, Other Worlds was unveiled amid a programme in Kathmandu on Thursday.

The book, Gurung’s second, is an anthology of poetry on the poet’s travels in the Himalayas around India, South-East Asia, the Middle East and Western Europe. The book, published by Nirala Publications, India, was unveiled by Himalayan Poet Yututsu RD Sharma.

“I dedicate this book to my father who recently passed away and to my dear friend and mentor poet DB Gurung, who is no longer with us,” said Gurung.

“This debut poetry collection marks the birth of a wondrous voice in the world of Nepalese writing in English,” said Sharma, the author of Annapurna Poems and A Blizzard in my Bones.

Gurung hoped that the readers, through his book, will be able to retrace his journeys and to relive his experiences described by his verses. The book will soon be available at bookstores an online at Amazon India.
