Chief Minister of the Province 5 Shanker Pokhrel says all structures in the state will be made disabled-friendly.
Inaugurating the first state-level Wheelchair Basketball Championship in Butwal on Friday, the CM said all the structures to be constructed in the soon-to-be-decided permanent capital of the state would be disabled-friendly.
The Chief Minister said that the state government was serious about its responsibility towards making the life of the people with disabilities easier.
State legislative assembly member Bishnu Panthi, Butwal Sub-metropolitan City’s deputy mayor Gumadevi Acharya, Sunil Ojha, president of Nepal Spinal Cord Injury Sports Association, Baburam Mishra, among the speakers underscored the rights of all the citizens.
Twelve teams are competing in the championship jointly organised by Lions Club of Butwal Sayapatri and Nepal Spinal Cord Injury Sports Association.
