Biratnagar, November 19
The government is preparing to move the Supreme Court against a lower court decision to release police officials implicated in the 33kg Gold Smuggling and Sanam Shakya Murder case.
This comes after the Biratnager High Court ordered police to release DIG Govinda Niraula, SSP Dibesh Lohani, SP Bikash Raj Khanal and DSP Prajeet KC. Similarly, the court had also ordered businessman Prabhat Agrawal (Sanjay Khetan). Ram Kumar Tiwari and an accomplice of the prime accused ‘Gore’, Madan Silwal, released on bail.
“We are preparing to move the Supreme Court demanding the arrest of DIG Govinda Niraula, SP Bikash Raj Khanal 18 others,” said District Attorney’s Office chief Chiranjibi Parajuli.
