Nepal’s national cricket squad, currently playing practice matches in India, have wrapped up the tour with a win against a local Delhi squad.
In the third of the practice matches, Nepal beat Noida Warriors by 40 runs, thanks to a confident 74 from opening batsman Sunil Dhamala.
Winning the toss, Nepal chose to bat first and put up 258 runs in their alotted 50 overs. Coach Jagat Tamatta sent in Sunil Dhamala and Aasif Sheikh to open the innings for the touring side. The duo put on a partnership of 51 runs before Sheikh got out for 22.
Sharad Vesawker made 22 while Aarif Sheikh made 28. Binod Bhandari remained unbeaten on 41. Rajesh Pulami made 30.
Noida warriors lost all their wickets in 47.2 overs with 208 runs on the board. Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane and Shakti Gauchan toll two wickets a piece.
Nepal earlier played two matches against Rajwada Cricket Club, winning one of the fixtures.
