The second installment of the popular Bollywood film 3 Idiots is set to be produced. After 15 years, director Rajkumar Hirani and actor Aamir Khan are ready to work on the much-anticipated sequel.
Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra will also be involved in the film and will present a new story to audiences. Pinkvilla has reported that the second installment is in development.
According to sources, filming will begin from mid-2026. The script has been completed, and the team is highly excited. The sequel is said to be as entertaining and emotional as the first film.
As per the portal, the climax will show events 15 years later, where all the characters are separated and reunite for a new adventure.
Sources also said that the fun chemistry between Rancho, Farhan, Raju and Piya, and their life journeys, will captivate audiences.
3 Idiots was released in 2009. It became the first Indian film to enter the 200-crore club. The pairing of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor was well loved, and audiences are excited to see them together again.
