Kathmandu, September 23
The Kathmandu District Police Range has arrested 121 people as part of a sweep operation.
The 121 people were arrested from various locations in Kathmandu over a 24-hour period. The detainees include 105 men, 15 women and one person of another gender.
Police said the operation was conducted to maintain peace and public order by preventing and controlling crime and to take action against individuals involved in illegal activities.
According to police, those arrested include individuals involved in causing trouble in the delivery of public services, indecent behaviour, theft, robbery, operating as middlemen and hooliganism.
