The latest weather update indicates the monsoon trough is positioned normally, with the country experiencing monsoon and westerly winds, along with a significant low-pressure area in Uttar Pradesh, India. The meteorological forecasting division predicts generally cloudy conditions nationwide, with moderate rain and snowfall expected in various regions, particularly the Himalayan and hilly areas of Sudurpashchim, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali Provinces.
Thunder and lightning are also anticipated in these areas. In the Terai regions, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in Sudurpashchim, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, with heavy rainfall possible in select locations within Gandaki and Sudurpashchim Provinces, as well as the Terai areas of Madhesh and Bagmati.
Gusty winds may occur in parts of the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim Provinces. Overall, cloudy conditions are expected to dominate, particularly in Sudurpashchim and the Himalayan areas of other provinces, while partly cloudy weather will be observed in the remaining regions.
