Kathmandu, March 31
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is to meet leaders of the Nepali Congress and the Madheshi Morcha at his official residence in Baluwatar later in the afternoon.
The meeting will start at 3 pm, the Prime Minister’s personal secretariat says.
According to the secretariat, the fate of the constitution amendment bill and preparations for the civic elections are on the agenda of the meeting.
The meeting comes at a time when a joint taskforce set-up by the government and the agitating Madheshi Morcha prepared a draft agreement to put the proposal to re-draw provincial boundaries on hold for now and amend the constitution to address the rest of the demands of the Madheshi Morcha, which has been reluctant to contest elections.
