Kathmandu, September 27

Nepal’s former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who resigned in August after his alliance partner CPN-Maoist Centre withdrew support to his government, is to address Parliament later today.

This would be the first time Oli would be speaking at the House after being forced out of power. Oli is expected to take the the Pushpa Kamal Dahal government to task over ‘controversial’ agreements with India on issues related to Nepal’s ‘national interests’.

According to UML sources, Oli is also expected to criticise the government on lack of progress in handing over post-quake rebuilding aid to people who lost their houses in the 2015 temblor.

The UML leader us likely to take a stand on the recent proposal floated by the government to amend the constitution to address the demands of Madhesh-based parties.
