Ncell partneres with Rato Bangala Foundation and Education Ministry for the 2nd International Conference on Quality Education 2019

Kathmandu, August 26

Ncell Private Limited (Ncell) under its Corporate Social Responsibility has partnered with Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) and Rato Bangala Foundation (RBF) to organise the 2nd International Conference on Quality Education 2019 from August 24 to 26. Over 700 participants, including more than 300 government level teachers from 55 districts, attended the three-day conference. Experts from Singapore, the United States, India, China, and Bangladesh participated in the conference as trainers.

Through the conference, Ncell aims to empower education from the roots by delivering special skills, knowledge, and expertise within the education sector to help empower in aspects such as skills training, enhancing early-childhood education and knowledge sharing with those involved in the education sector at large.

The chief guest of the opening ceremony, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel in his opening speech said that such conferences were important for Nepal as it would help develop the quality of teachers in the country. Chief Guest of the concluding ceremony of the conference, Chairperson of the Parliament’s Education and Health Committee Jayapuri Gharti underlying the need of quality education, on Monday said that they are holding consultations with the focus to improve education in government schools. She also urged all teachers who participated in the conference to implement knowledge gathered in their classrooms for bringing the changes.

Furthermore, Shanta Dixit, Chairperson of Rato Bangala Foundation said, “With this conference, our aim was to bring international learnings, the world to the local classroom, by training teachers at the grassroots level. With the involvement of both public and private sectors, this forum became an excellent platform towards promoting quality education from a Nepali perspective. We are equally grateful to our partner Ncell for helping the 300 public school teachers participate in the conference. It’s also because of Ncell that we will be able to organize the scheduled post-conference in all of the seven provinces later this year.”

The post-conference workshops are scheduled to be organised at each of the seven provincial levels with a focus on quality education at early childhood education.
