Design and display

The Motorola Edge 40 is very slim and thin and weighs less than 175 grams. The two colour options, Nebula Green and Lunar Blue, both have different back. The Nebula Green has vegan leather on the back giving a proper premium feel while the Lunar Blue has a matte acrylic plastic back which is also pretty beautiful. The frame is made up of metal and the front has a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera.

The Motorola Edge 40 has a stunning 6.55″ P-OLED display that brings your content to life with Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080) and a pixel density of 402 ppi. The screen-to-body ratio is an impressive 92.7 per cent, providing an immersive viewing experience. With a 144 Hz refresh rate and a touch rate of 360 Hz, the display ensures smooth and responsive interactions. It has DCI-P3 colour space and HDR10+ support, enhancing the visual experience.

The display also offers a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, making it easy to see even in bright sunlight. Moreover, features like SGS Low Blue Light and SGS Low Motion Blur contribute to comfortable and clear viewing. Furthermore, it has IP68 water and dust resistance.


The Motorola Edge 40 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8,020 chipset, which is a 6nm octa-core processor. It has four performance cores clocked at up to 2.6 GHz and four efficiency cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. The GPU is the Mali-G77 MC9.

The Motorola Edge 40’s rear camera has a dual camera setup that features a 50 MP sensor with a 1/1.5″ optical format, coupled with a wide f/1.4 aperture and 1.0μm pixel size.
