Kathmandu, August 5
Police have arrested a man in possession of 207 kilogrammes of marijuana in Parsa district. According to the Central Police Newsroom, a police patrol team apprehended 48-year-old Krishna Lama of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-13, Makawanpur, on Tuesday evening at Bindabasini Rural Municipality-5.
The contraband was discovered concealed in sacks during an inspection of a pickup van (Province 3-01-024 Cha 5385). Police seized the marijuana and arrested Lama, who was driving the vehicle. Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
