Kathmandu, July 5

Owing to the closure of schools and the need to maintain physical distancing in order to avoid the risk of Covid-19 infection, the government has decided not to conduct the final examinations of grade 11 this year.

As in the provision made for the grade 10 (Secondary Education Examination), the National Examination Board has asked schools across the country to evaluate their students based on internal assessments and send the grade sheets to the board for certification.

The board made the decision on Sunday. Earlier, the exams were scheduled to be held in May.

However, the board is still undecided about the grade 12 examinations.
