Kathmandu, February 25
The by-election for the members of the House of Representatives in Ilam 2 is scheduled to take place on April 27.
The Election Commission, on Sunday, decided to hold the by-elections on Saturday, April 27.
Subash Chandra Nembang, a UML leader and member of the House of Representatives representing Ilam 2, died on September 12, 2023.
Additionally, a by-election will be held on April 27 for Provincial Assembly Constituency 1 of Bajhang. Prithvi Bahadur Singh, a member of the Nepali Congress elected from this area, died in a car accident on June 30, 2023.
The commission has stated that the date of the by-election has been determined in consultation with the government.
