More than Rs 24 billion worth of agricultural products have been imported from Kakarbhitta in the last fiscal year. According to the head of the Plant Quarantine Office, Kakarbhitta, Nand Kishore Singh, agricultural products worth Rs 24.2674 billion, including cereals, pulses, fresh vegetables and fruits, have entered Nepal from India, China, Australia and Bangladesh in 2082 / 83 BS.
He said that the largest share of imported agricultural commodities is cereals and pulses. From India, rice worth Rs 242 million and pulses worth Rs 188 million have been imported. Similarly, 1,996 metric tonnes of gram worth Rs 182 million and 796 metric tonnes of pulses worth Rs 108 million have been imported from Australia and India.
