Toronto Sixers, featuring Nepal women’s cricket team captain Indu Barma, won the women’s title at the Canada Super 60 on Sunday.
Toronto defeated Vancouver Warriors by six wickets in the final, completed on Sunday morning. Chasing a target of 86 runs, Toronto reached the target with three balls to spare.
Indu scored the winning runs and remained unbeaten on 15. She also took one wicket and effected a run-out during the match.
Indu took four wickets in four matches during the tournament.
Toronto had lost to Vancouver Warriors in their opening match of the tournament. The team then defeated Vancouver Anchors and secured a place in the final by beating the same team in the eliminator.
