Nominated central committee members of the CPN-UML took their oath of office on Thursday.
Party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli administered the oath to the newly nominated members at the party’s central office in Chyasal.
The UML Central Committee meeting, which began on September 21 and concluded on September 24, nominated 33 people as central committee members, including 13 who joined the party from other political parties.
The nominations were made in accordance with the party statute, which allows 10 per cent of the central committee members to be nominated.
The UML has also nominated seven members to its Standing Committee.
Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has been appointed as a senior leader of the UML.
