Weather across Nepal is expected to remain generally cloudy on Wednesday, with rain, thunderstorms and snowfall forecast in several parts of the country.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, heavy rainfall is possible at one or two places in the mountainous, hilly and Tarai areas of Koshi Province, as well as in the hilly and Tarai areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces during the afternoon.
Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, along with snowfall, is likely at a few places in the mountainous areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. Similar conditions are possible at a few places in the mountainous areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The department has also forecast moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning at some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places in the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
In the Tarai, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is possible at some places in Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Rain and snowfall likely at night
The country is expected to remain generally cloudy on Wednesday night as well.
A few places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and one or two places in the mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are likely to receive moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning, along with snowfall.
Moderate rainfall is also likely at some places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places in the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
Similarly, some places in the Tarai areas of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and a few places in the Tarai areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim, may receive moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, according to the department.
