A five-year-old boy died after being hit by a truck in Kailali on Tuesday morning.
According to police, Lekhraj Deuba of Gauriganga Municipality-2, Jhil, was hit by a truck (Se 1 Kha 1352) at around 8:30 am along the East-West Highway.
Deuba, who was seriously injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment at Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi.
Police have taken the truck and its driver, Sunil Chaudhary of Lamkichuha Municipality-2, into custody. The Area Police Office, Malakheti, is investigating the incident, police said.
