Kathmandu, September 13
AHZ Associates Nepal, in partnership with Bangladesh’s Dr Mostofa Hazera Foundation (DMH Foundation), has distributed relief materials to flood-affected families in Bidur, Nuwakot, following the recent floods that devastated Rasuwa and Nuwakot and left hundreds of families displaced.
A team from AHZ Associates Nepal’s Kathmandu office travelled to Bidur to meet affected families directly, hear their experiences, and hand out food and essential supplies. Funding for the initiative came from the DMH Foundation, while AHZ Associates Nepal’s staff and volunteers carried out the distribution on the ground.
DMH Foundation Chairman Captain A.K.M. Golam Kibria said humanity has no borders, adding that the organisation was proud to support flood-affected families in Nepal and hoped the contribution would bring them some comfort and hope.
The relief effort was led by AHZ Associates Nepal Country Manager Shobin Thapa, with a team including Archana Yadav, Sajal Pokharel, Rishav Singh, Pragya Magar, Megha Bajracharya, Ambika Giri, Yogendra Saud, and Dibesh Adhikari.
Thapa said the visit was as much about standing with people who had suffered major losses and helping them feel less alone as it was about distributing supplies.
