The Nepali Congress will hold the inaugural ceremony of its 15th General Convention at Tundikhel in Kathmandu.
The inaugural ceremony of the party’s central general convention, scheduled for October 2–5, will be held at Tundikhel, according to Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal.
A Nepali Congress office-bearer said the closed-door sessions of the convention would also be held at Tundikhel.
Acting Chief Secretary Dulal said a decision had yet to be made on the venue for the election process.
The Nepali Congress had written to the National Assembly Hall only on Tuesday, requesting that a venue be made available for its 15th General Convention.
In his letter, Dulal requested that the exhibition hall, lobby, parking area and garden of the National Assembly Hall be booked and made available in the name of the Nepali Congress Central Office for six days, from October 1 to 6, to facilitate preparations, management and the conduct of convention programs.
