Kathmandu, August 28
A total of 117 tourists stranded following floods in the Bhotekoshi River have been rescued, according to the Nepal Tourism Board.
The board said 85 Indian, 16 Chinese and nine South Korean tourists have been rescued so far. Two American and two Italian tourists have also been rescued.
The identities of three other rescued tourists have yet to be established.
More than 600 tourists remain out of contact following the floods, according to the Tourism Board.
Trekking and tour companies have reported that many tourists travelling to Kailash Mansarovar are among those who remain out of contact.
