Kathmandu, August 18
Two people have been arrested on charges of theft aboard public transport.
Those arrested are 31-year-old Ajay Basnet of Kangel, Solukhumbu, and 43-year-old Bhabindra BK of Damak Municipality-6, Jhapa. They were arrested by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.
Police said the two boarded a public vehicle travelling from Purano Buspark to Bijuli Bazar on August 12, stole a gold chain from a passenger’s neck, and fled. Those arrested have been sent to the Singhadurbar Police Circle for further action.
