Over 31 days of screening, the film Gauthali has grossed Rs 235.5 million nationwide. The Film Development Board released the earnings figures through Sunday.
According to the board, more than 855,000 viewers have watched the film during this period. Directed by Kapil Rijal, Gauthali has become the second-highest-grossing Nepali film of all time.
By contrast, another film currently in theatres, Kamala Miss, has performed far more weakly. Directed by Neer Shah, the film had grossed just Rs 261,000 by Sunday, watched by only 718 viewers.
Another film, Hali, has earned Rs 2.177 million, drawn by 7,710 viewers
