Jhapa, April 30
Thirteen students were injured when a school bus met with an accident at Kachanakabal Rural Municipality–3 in Jhapa district today. The bus belonging to Bidyapani Secondary School, registration number Pra 1-01-001 Kha 4482, overturned while travelling on the inner road from Durgabhitta towards Aambari after it hit a motorcycle with registration number plate Pra 1-01-013 Pa 3482, said Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, Information Officer of the District Police Office.
Thirteen of the 18 students on the bus were injured in the mishap. Eleven of the injured have been admitted to Manmohan Community Hospital in Birtamod for treatment. Motorcyclist Om Prasad Timsina, 52, from Kachanakabal-3, sustained injuries to his face, head and legs. The police have reported that the bus driver is absconding.
