
Kathmandu, April 7
The Government of Nepal has appointed Kiran Pandit, Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), as the central bank’s Deputy Governor.
A Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday appointed Pandit to one of the two vacant Deputy Governor positions. According to Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal, the appointment was made based on a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Finance.
Pandit entered the banking service in 2005. Throughout his career, he has served in various key departments, including Bank Supervision, Bank and Financial Institution Regulation, and the Financial Inclusion and Customer Protection Division.
