Kathmandu, December 22
Three domestic airports have been closed due to adverse weather conditions. According to Rinjee Sherpa, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Airport Office, airports in Bhairahawa, Janakpur, and Simara are currently closed. Dhangadhi Airport has recently resumed operations.
He said that other airports are operating regular flights. Due to dense fog, most airports in the Tarai region are often closed during the morning hours and gradually reopen in the afternoon.
Regular flight operations are continuing at Kathmandu Airport, he added.
