For the first time in the history of Nepali volleyball, a professional player auction is set to take place as part of the Vatsalya Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWV) on July 18, 2025.
The league will feature six franchise teams.
The open bidding format will see teams compete live to assemble their squads from a pool of national stars, emerging players, and promising young talent.
“This is more than just an auction,it’s a landmark moment for Nepali Volleyball”. For the first time ever, women volleyball players in Nepal will enter a professional system that values their skill, market, and identity. It’s a proud moment for us all,” reads the release of EWV.
The auction will be conducted in Kathmandu in the presence of league officials, franchise representatives, and media.
