Kathmandu, May 6
Senior leftist leader Pradeep Nepal passed away at the age of 71 on Tuesday afternoon at Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu.
He had been suffering from Parkinson’s disease and had recently become inactive in politics.
Nepal was admitted to the hospital a few days ago and was moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Monday.
A former Minister of Education, Nepal was also a former standing committee member of the CPN-UML.
