Saptari, January 14
More than 12 houses have been reportedly burnt in recent incidents of fire in various places of Saptari district.
In past four days, three incidents of fire have been reported. Four persons have sustained injuries in these incidents.
In the fire erupted in Rupani Rural Municipality-1 of the district on Friday night, six houses belonging Rajo Yadav, Ram Narayan Yadav and Ram Bilas Yadav have been reduced to ashes. Rs 75,000 cash at the house of Rajo was also burnt.
It has been learned that a fire made to keep the cowshed warm had ignited the blaze.
The victims said property worth more than Rs 600,000 was destroyed in the incident.
A fire engine of Rajbiraj Municipality and locals contained the flames.
