Nepalgunj, August 18
Police have arrested two people in Kohalpur, Banke, with 13.64 kg of opium and 148 grams of hashish.
A joint team from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Nepalgunj, and Surkhet arrested them in Kohalpur Municipality-6 based on a tip-off, according to DSP Pratit Singh Rathour of the District Police Office, Banke.
According to him, Karn Bahadur Budha of Rukum East and Taipsingh Giri, also known as Topjang, of Rukum West were arrested with the drugs. Police also recovered a digital weighing scale and Rs 5,000 in cash from them.
Police said one round of warning fire was also fired during the arrests.
