10 arrested for arson in Jumla

Jumla, July 23

Police arrested 10 persons for their alleged involvement in arson at Guthichaur rural municipality and Chandannath municipality of Jumla district on Saturday.

According to Information Officer at the District Police Office, Jumla, Dharma Raj Joshi, 10 persons have been arrested suspecting their involvement in the incident.

However, police have not revealed the identity of the arrested persons.

An unidentified group had torched six houses at Guthichaur, one house at Chandannath municipality and a parked tractor at 2:00 am on Saturday.

Chairperson of Guthichour rural municipality, Dan Bahadur Budha, said a total of seven houses– two houses at Dhawalpur village, one house at Bauli village, one at Dhudakhoj village, one at Mathillo Deharbijur village and two at Khalla ward were set on fire.
