NASA astronaut to interact with Kathmanduites next week

Nepal Astronomical Society in association with Nepal Academy of Science and Technology is going to organise an interaction programme with NASA astronaut Sandra Magnus in Kathmandu on May 30.

Besides the interaction programme, the event will also include presentations to have an insight of space activities in Nepal and a prize distribution ceremony to the winners of National Space Art Competition 2017, National Astronomical Olympiad 2017, and Women in Science Award 2018, the organiser says.

Meanwhile, the organsaition has called in applications to attend the interaction. Interests ones can apply for the programme for free till May 25.

The programme will be organised from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at NAST building, Khumaltar, Lalitpur.

“We believe, it will provide an opportunity for Nepali people from Nepal and abroad to ask their questions to her,” read a press statement issued by the organisation.

“Interested people can create a maximum 30-second question video with their introduction. Selected people will be invited to attend the event,” adds the statement.
